On Sunday, Cochabambinos celebrated “Día de Peatón” (Day of Pedestrians). Public transportation shut down, cars stayed parked in their driveways, and families set out on bicycle or foot to enjoy the traffic-free streets. Thanks to everyone who donated to the La Paz Marathon fundraiser, the girls had seven bikes to cruise around on! Needless to say, the day was a blast.

The older girls took turns touring the streets and preparing bread to sell in the afternoon as people returned to their homes for bread and tea. Their baking endeavor was a success and will likely become a Sunday thing!
